ITA (through its parent organization the Music Institute of Chicago) is an approved provider of ISBE recertification credit.
Attendees will receive 1.5 CPDU units for each part of the workshop.
Learning Objectives
• Participants will identify behaviors related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Participants will describe current research trends in music with ASD
• Participants will learn how to implement creative arts strategies in order to
promote peer interactions
• Participants will demonstrate the use of the creative arts and differentiated
learning techniques for individuals with ASD
About the Presenter: Jeffrey Wolfe, MT-BC
Jeffrey is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Percussion from the University of Akron in 2005 and is currently completing his Master’s of Music in Music Therapy with an emphasis in counseling from Ohio University. He completed his clinical internship at Creating Connections Company, LLC, a private practice specializing in interventions for children with autism and developmental disorders. He holds the Neurologic Music Therapy certification from the Center for Biomedical Research in Music in Colorado. Jeffrey is a founding member, administrator, and previous director of Kids Town Child Development Center in Brunswick, Ohio.
