Private Instruction

If you have already spoken to an MIC staff member, Sign Up Here. Otherwise, please follow the instructions below.

Getting Started

1. Contact the Campus Director at your preferred campus to schedule a placement interview.

At this interview, we will answer your questions about MIC and provide complete infromation about our offerings and school policies. The interview also gives MIC the opportunity to learn about the personality, learning style, interests and goals of each student so that the best student-teacher match is found. You may also elect to fill out our Inquiry Form, and a director will follow up with you.

2. Calculate tuition and financial aid.

Both need and merit-based financial aid are available for those who qualify. MIC awards more than $500,000 each year in direct scholarships, financial aid and discounts. For more information about tuition rates, the installment plan, or financial aid, follow these links or talk to your local Campus Director.

3. Complete a student registration form.

The Community Music School is divided into two 17-week semesters, fall and spring, and a flexible summer session. Students interested in private instruction may begin at any time and many group classes and ensembles may be joined on a rolling basis.
