Prospective Students

The nationally recognized Music Institute of Chicago Community Music School offers private music instruction, group classes, musicianship, chamber music and orchestral programs to close to 3,000 students of all ages and abilities each year. In addition to excpetional classical training, special program areas include early music, jazz studies, Musikgarten family music, musical theater, samba, and an extensive Suzuki program including the Chicago Suzuki Institute each summer. We teach at 7 campuses and satelite locations and occasionally off-site.

 

The Academy is for the musical elite, the gifted pre-collegiate musician seeking an exceptional training experience.  Entrance by audition only.

The Institute for Therapy Through the Arts provides inclusion services for MIC students, a range of creative arts therapies, and professional development and consultation to health professionals and educators.  Services are provided by credentialed creative arts therapists and can be arranged at any MIC campus.
