17th Annual St. Paul String Quartet Competition

Academy wins Gold and Silver Medals!

Katya Moeller performed Tchaikovsky's complete Violin Concerto with the Orchestra Iowa in the beautiful and historic Paramount Theater (Cedar Rapids, IA) for 1000+ students. She performed the concerto twice—before noon. That deserves a WOW!

The Peresson Quartet (Katya Moeller, Kelly Kim, Sidney Lee, and Serge Kalinovsky, coached by Sang Mee Lee) was awarded the GOLD Medal, Best Haydn Performance Winner, and Honorable Mention for their BIPOC performance, and the Omaggio Quartet (Tara Hagle, Abigail Park, Elinor Detmer, and Jan Nedvetsky, coached by Mathias Tacke) won the SILVER Medal at the national competition where six quartets performed in the final round.
