2018 Oboe Reed-Making Workshop


Dates:  June 23 - 24, 2018
Times:  Saturday & Sunday:  June 23 & 24, 2018:  1 - 5 pm
Location:  Winnetka Campus, 300 Green Bay Road
 

Camp Director:  Erica Anderson. Guest clinician, Crystal Hall
Ages:  10-adult
Prerequisite: playing the oboe for at least one year
 

Cost:  $250 includes cane and other reed-making supplies
           (+$30 registration fee for new/returning students).

Do you want to learn how to make your own oboe reeds? Participants learn how to make reeds and the secrets of terrific oboe performing, all while having a great time! This camp is appropriate for beginning and advanced reed makers alike. Reed materials are included.

                                           
Camp activities will include the following: 
Learning how to tie, scrape, finish, and fix oboe reeds!
Playing in clinics on oboe-specific topics: improving dynamic control, tuning, tone production, audition success, improving technique, sight-reading, and more!
