Adult Private Instruction

Flexible Registration Packages and Discounts for Busy Adults

Whether you are learning an instrument for the first time, returning to play after a long hiatus, or wanting to polish your musical skills, the Music Institute of Chicago welcomes you to our adult studies program. Our faculty specializes in teaching adults and sharing the joy of music.


Flexible, friendly and fun, the Music Institute of Chicago helps students discover a real and deep understanding of music through a comprehensive curriculum and strong and nurturing relationships with our professional faculty. For 90 years, the Music Institute has been the place for people of all ages and every levels of experience to take music lessons.



Adults (age 19+), taking a private lesson before 3:30 pm Monday - Friday in MIC studios, receive a 20% reduction in tuition. This discount does not apply to special rate faculty. 

Senior Citizens (age 65+) receive a 15% discount on private lessons.
