Beginning Suzuki Teacher Training

Attend Every Child Can! (ECC) |

 

June 29 - 30, 2019

Every Child Can! (ECC) is the required first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas' (SAA) Teacher Development Program.  A fast-paced, engaging and inspiring program, Every Child Can! explores elements of the Suzuki approach and its far-reaching goals.  The class is designed for a mixed group of instrumentalists and vocalists and will include topics of interest to all music educators.  

 

Topics covered in the class include:

  - the "mother-tongue" method of instruction

  - history of the development of Suzuki education

  - the role of parents in Suzuki education

  - learning styles and their impact on teaching

  - the SAA's role in supporting teachers and parents

 

All recipients receive the SAA-developed course materials along with useful reference tools for future study.


Getting Started - Submit your audition to the SAA

 

To qualify as a participant in training courses (rather than auditor) applicants must:
  1. Submit a videotape audition of specified repertoire to the SAA at the level
      of your choice

  2. Tapes must be submitted 10 days prior to the course start date, with the

       required fees and a completed application form

  3. Tapes submitted 10 days prior before the course start date, audition results

      determining participant eligibility may not be available prior to the course.
