CDPF Summer Festival

The popular Chicago Duo Piano Festival attracts duo piano enthusiasts from around the world for its annual celebration and study of music for two pianos and piano four hands. Open to pianists age eight to adult, the festival includes:

Coachings | Master Classes | Lectures | Student Recitals | Group Events | Concerts & Receptions

Registration:  Early registration deadline Friday, May 1, 2020 | Final deadline: Monday, June 1, 2020

 Students who register early will have better consideration for repertoire requests.


  • There are four student divisions:
    Youth, High School, College and Adult
  • Students do not need to register with a partner.
  • Music will be assigned shortly after the deadline and must be prepared by the beginning of the festival. (No memory requirement)
  • Chicago Duo Piano Festival does not require a formal audition; however, teacher name and contact information is required for students through high school. 
  • Prospective students may be requested to attend an informal interview or submit a representative recording of their live performance.
  • All festival events are held at Nichols Concert Hall/Evanston East Campus:  1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, IL  60201  (unless otherwise noted)

Out of Town Participants

  • Housing can be arranged for out-of-town participants at downtown Evanston hotels and inns.  Information will be provided upon request.

2020 Festival Fees
Participant: $545 per student

Tuition includes events, parties, concerts, lectures, coachings, and master classes

Auditor:  $260 includes attendance at master classes, group lessons, concerts.  (No lessons or participation in student recitals)
