Community Engagement

The Music Institute of Chicago believes music has the power to change lives.

MIC's community engagement initiatives ensure access to music education and musical performances for our most vulnerable populations.Through a comprehensive and flexible array of programming, the Music Institute reaches people of all ages and backgrounds, and builds meaningful musical connections and paths to lifelong learning as a trusted community resource.

ArtsLink is a comprehensive community outreach program of the Music Institute of Chicago. Each year ArtsLink serves students in Chicago Public Schools and the surrounding metropolitan region through a range of school and community partnerships that provide music learning for every student - regardless of experience or financial means.

Music as Service

Through Music as Service, MIC partners with organizations serving the aged, homeless, disabled, sick, or lonely and connects them with MIC student musicians of all ages and levels interested in sharing music as volunteers to those in our community who need music most.
