Under the direction of the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Customer Service Specialist is responsible for performing administrative and clerical functions at the MIC Sherman Avenue Central Administration Office including:
• answering doorbell and phones
• managing Comcast poly-com phone system and staff phone directory
• processing payments
• assisting the finance department
• maintaining Sherman room schedules
• working with office vendors
• responding to inquiries about MIC programs and providing customer service
to MIC families, faculty, and staff
• providing administrative support and office management
• miscellaneous duties
Ideal Candidate Profile
In addition to the ability to successfully perform the above duties, the ideal candidate will be a reliable professional who interacts effectively with colleagues and exhibits a high level of accuracy in completing tasks. They will enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment in support of our mission driven organization.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years’ experience in general office administration
• Familiarity with non-profit organizations and/or an academic or music school environment, preferred.
In addition, we seek candidates who are flexible, with positive spirit, energy, and a good sense of humor.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong organization skills, with accurate attention to detail
• Self-motivated, proactive worker
• Friendly, courteous personality and professional demeanor
• Promptness and reliability
