Guitar and Ukulele Camps

The MIC guitar department offers traditional and Suzuki instruction in acoustic guitar for students ages four and up. In addition to classical guitar, check out MIC's Roots & Rock program which features a variety of guitar classes for all ages.

 


Guitar Camp for Beginners (ages 9-18)

Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar? This class may be the perfect way to get your feet wet. Come and spend a week learning chords, strumming, finger-style preludes, and a few of your favorite rock riffs and more.  All are welcome - an electric or acoustic guitar is fine. 

 

Session I:  June 20-23, 2022  |  10:30 am – 12 pm (Canceled)

Location: Lake Forest campus, 40 East Old Mill Road

Session II:  June 27-30, 2022  |  10:30 am – 12 pm (Canceled)

Location: Winnetka campus, 300 Green Bay Road

Ukulele Camp for Beginners (ages 9-18)

Have you ever wanted to learn the ukulele? This class may be the perfect way to get your feet wet.  Participants must have a ukulele.

One recommended Ukulele for the class (you do not need this particular one but it is recommended by the teacher).
