This class is designed for aspiring singer-songwriters, who play guitar or keyboard who have basic proficiency (able to play multiple chords and strumming patterns) or experience with songwriting. Class includes eight (8) sessions with a professional songwriter and a informal performance (optional) at an open Mic show. In addition to aspiring solo songwriters, songwriting teams are welcome.
The class covers may aspects of the craft, including the melodic and harmonic foundation of great songs, the relationship of words and music, and the basic structures of songs for multiple kinds of music (rock and roll, pop, folk, blues, etc.)
