Musikgarten: Cycle of Seasons (ages 3-5)
Celebrate your child's love of nature and growing independence through activities that focus on the joys of the seasons of the year. Classes are designed to build attention span, self-expression, and language development. Components include singing, chanting, moving, focused listening, musical games, instrument exploration, creative movement, as well as stories for children to act out and embellish. An adult must accompany each child
All new students (private instruction, group classes, ensembles) will be assessed a $30 registration fee.
Specialists agree that early exposure to music plays an important role in children's emotional, intellectual and social development. Developmentally appropriate activities build fundamental musical skills and help prepare children for a wide range of music and school activities.
Teachers
Our Musikgarten® teachers are highly trained professionals with classroom and field experience in early childhood music education and child development.
Curriculum
Musikgarten®’s programs are based on meeting the developmental needs of children as they grow. Favorite songs, stories and dances are revisited throughout — building on what each child has mastered and enjoyed and making successful learning easier.
Family Involvement
Learning continues throughout the week in the home environment. Musikgarten® participants receive CDs, family activity guides and simple instruments that parents may use as they continue making music with their child at home.
