Musikgarten: Family Music For Toddlers (16 Months-3 years)
Develop a strong musical bond with your toddler while singing, chanting, moving, dancing, listening and playing simple instruments. These activities bridge the natural connection between music and movement while enhancing and further developing your child's musical aptitude and listening abilities. Classes provide an active, hands-on musical environment appropriate for this age. An adult must accompany each child. No classes: July 1-7
$30 registration fee for new student applies.
Fall semester classes begin Tuesday, September 17, 2019
Specialists agree that early exposure to music plays an important role in children's emotional, intellectual and social development. Developmentally appropriate activities build fundamental musical skills and help prepare children for a wide range of music and school activities.
Our Musikgarten® teachers are highly trained professionals with classroom and field experience in early childhood music education and child development.
Musikgarten®’s programs are based on meeting the developmental needs of children as they grow. Favorite songs, stories and dances are revisited throughout — building on what each child has mastered and enjoyed and making successful learning easier.
Learning continues throughout the week in the home environment. Musikgarten® participants receive CDs, family activity guides and simple instruments that parents may use as they continue making music with their child at home.
Musikgarten classes are also offered at the Winnetka Community House in the fall. Please visit www.winnetkacommunityhouse.org to register.
