Academy students featured at Northbrook Symphony Orchestra Gala

Academy students Karisa Chiu, violin, Nathan Mo, cello, Joshua Brown, violin, and Daniel Szefer, piano, will be the featured guest artists on the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra's Annual Dinner Event on June 24 at the Chevy Chase Country Club. This year's gala, Dinner on the Danube, will be celebrating NSO's 35th season.

As part of a new collaborative education partnership, the Academy and the NSO recently presented Celebrate the Spirit of Community with a Special Collaborative Concert featuring "Eight Rising Musical Stars" at Nichols Concert Hall. Lawrence Rapchak, NSO Music Director and James Setapen, Director of the MIC Academy, both conducted the orchestra and Academy students.

In May, the Étoile Quartet of the Academy presented a pre-concert performance in the lobby of the final NSO concert and earlier this year, violinist Serena Harnack was the featured guest soloist on the NSO's February concert.

Guests and donors of the NSO will have the opportunity to enjoy the following program on June 24.
