This month Music Institute of Chicago piano faculty Camille Witos will present a lecture/program about teaching Sonatinas/Sonatas for the North Shore Music Teachers Association.  The program looks at taking stock of one's teaching approach in order to keep it fresh and alive. Mindful teaching — being in the moment, being present with yourself and your student — becomes the playground where change takes place. The presentation will explore practical strategies to prepare and master a Sonatina/Sonata, discuss ideas for effective teaching and take a look at how mindfulness can inspire your teaching and your students’ success while deepening their love of music.
