Academy Sweeps A.N. & Pearl G. Barnett Chamber Music Competition

Congratulations to all of the students and coaches who participated in Merit School of Music’s A. N. & Pearl G. Barnett Chamber Music Competition on Sunday, April 3, 2016

 

Grand Award Winner and Strings & Piano Division 1st Place Winner, Iris Piano Trio -- Ria Honda, Alexandra Kim and Natalie Nedvetsky (coached by Paul Vanderwerf and Milana Pavchinskaya)

 

2nd Place - Vibrante String Quartet -- Hannah White, Zachary Brandon, Freya Irani and Leevy Williams (coached by Mathias Tacke)

 

3rd Place - Degas Quartet -- Maya Buchanan, Joshua Brown, Tess Krope and Josiah Yoo (coached by Sang Mee Lee and Roland Vamos) 

 

The Merit School hosted 19 chamber groups in the 4th Annual A.N. & Pearl G. Barnett Chamber Music Competition. The winning groups won cash prizes and the Iris Piano Trio will perform on WFMT.
