2023 Sphinx Junior Division Semi-Finalists Competition - January 26-28, 2023
Cellist Jan Nedvetsky, student of Hans Jensen, has been selected as a Junior Division Semi-finalist in the Sphinx Competition 2023, which will take place in Detroit, Michigan, January 26-28, 2023.
The Sphinx Competition is a national competition in the U.S. offering young Black and Latinx classical string players a chance to compete under the guidance of an internationally renowned panel of judges and to perform with and receive mentorship from established professional musicians.
Finalists in both divisions have the opportunity to perform with the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra and compete for $100,000 in prizes, including the top Robert F. Smith Prize.
