Anita attained her Master's Degree in Music with Suzuki Pedagogy Emphasis from Southern Illinois University, as well as her Bachelor's in Music and K-12 teaching certification from the University of Iowa.

Significant teachers and mentors: 

One of her most influential teachers over the years was her instructor, Vera McCoy-Sulentic, with whom she completed her long-term Suzuki teacher training with.

Awards and achievements: 

Anita received her Master of Music Education Degree with Suzuki Pedagogy emphasis in 2010, and is also a Suzuki registered teacher (books 1-8) in addition to a licensed Musikgarten instructor. Furthermore, Ms. Kaimal was given the opportunity to complete her student teaching experience in Sydney, Australia at Methodist Ladies College, and also performed on the Sydney Opera House stage.

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Anita was on the faculty with the Suzuki program at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville and is currently on faculty with The Music Institute of Chicago. She is also a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and regularly attends training to expand her teaching knowledge.

Interests outside of music: 

Outside of the music world, some of Ms. Kaimal's interests include knitting, crocheting, cooking/baking, listening to music, and watching movies.
