Education: 

Juli received her Master's Degree in Vocal Performance and Literature from Northwestern University, and her Bachelor's Degree in Classical Vocal Performance from the University of Denver.

Significant teachers and mentors: 

Some of Juli's teachers/mentors from over the years that had a large impact on her life were the instructors she had during her time in college. These teachers include: Sunny Joy Langton, and Alan Darling who taught Juli at Northwestern University, and Kevin Kennedy who was Juli's instructor at the University of Denver.

Awards and achievements: 

Mrs. Brubaker has appeared as Luisa in The Fantasticks, Minnie Faye in Hello, Dolly!, Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Adina in L'elisir d'amore, Cobweb in a Midsummer Night's Dream, and most recently as Valencienne in The Merry Widow. She has also been the recipient of several honors and awards including 1st Place in voice at the FMTA Sonatina Festival, 2nd place in the NATS Competition, Music/Provosts scholarships at both University of Denver and Northwestern, Recital of Distinction, induction as a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society, and Honorable Mention at the Director's Prize Competition while studying abroad in Australia during her undergraduate studies.

Her additional accomplishments include:

1st Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition

Winner of Northwestern University Concerto/Aria Competition

Finalist for the Director's Prize Competition in Hobart, Australia

Performed operatic role of Young Pocahontas in Pocahontas - Woman of Two Worlds

Soprano soloist for Schubert's Mass in G, Mozart's Requiem, and Handel's Messiah

Performed for Mark Delavan Master Class

Performed with Northwestern University's Chamber Orchestra and Kenosha Symphony Orchestra

Performed the National Anthem on the mainstage at the Taste of Chicago

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Juli is also a co-Founder and performer for Green Light Vocal Productions, in addition to being lead cantor and choral assistant at Immaculate Conception Parish in Highland Park

Work experience: 

Worked as Administrative Assistant for MIC Winnetka campus 2010-2015, have taught Musicianship and am also very pleased to be a part of the Musikgarten faculty!
