Mindy received her Artist Diploma in Cello Performance from Colburn Conservatory of Music, as well as her Bachelor's Degree in Cello Performance from Colburn Conservatory of Music.

Significant teachers and mentors: 

Two of Ms. Park's most significant mentors are individuals with whom she worked during her years as a musician. She studied with world-renowned pedagogues Ronald Leonard and Hans Jorgen Jensen, and is currently a teaching assistant to Mr. Jensen of Northwestern University.

Awards and achievements: 

Mindy has garnered top prize winnings including those from the Irving M. Klein International String Competition, the Corpus Christi International Competition, the Aspen Summer Music Festival Low Strings Concerto Competition, and the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) National solo Competition. She was selected as a winner of youngARTS in music of the Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and was also awarded the regional award for Illinois, the Gary Garrabrant Award in Music youngARTS Winner in Violoncello. Her performances have been featured on Chicago WFMT 98.7's Introductions series and Impromtu series, as well as live on ABC7 Chicago News. She was also featured as a soloist on NPR's "From the Top" radio program at Ravinia. She has also won prizes at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the Rembrandt Chamber Players Competition, and the St. Paul String Quartet Competition. Additionally, she has attended the Meadowmount School of Music, the Aspen Music Festival and School, and the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) Summer Festival in Austria. Ms. Park was also invited as one of the youngest musicians to participate in the prestigious New York String Orchestra Seminar under the direction of Maestro Jaime Laredo.

Additional accomplishments include: Appeared as soloist with orchestras such as the Aspen Music Festival Chamber Orchestra, Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Fremd Symphony Orchestra, Waukegan Symphony Orchestra, and others. Invited as an artist-in-residence at the Laguna Beach Chamber Music and the Klein Competition San Francisco Chamber Music Residency. Performed chamber music with world-renowned artists such as Ronald Leonard, Edgar Meyer, John Perry, and the Ebène Quartet. Masterclasses with Wen-Sinn Yang, Jian Wang, Richard Aaron, Matt Haimovitz, and Peter Wyerick.

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Teaching assistant to Hans Jorgen Jensen of Northwestern University. Performed extensively as a soloist and as a chamber musician throughout the United States, and invited as a masterclass teacher and summer music festival teacher around the country. Recipient of the Colburn Conservatory of Music Teaching Fellowship.
