Mark attended Depaul University, Chicago Musical College, and Northwestern University.

Significant teachers and mentors: 

During his studies and throughout his life, Mr. Anderson had the opportunity to work with many talented musicians. Some of his most significant teachers/mentors over the years were his instructors during college, such as: Frank Miller at DePaul University, Karl Fruh at Chicago Musical College, and Hans Jorgen Jensen at Northwestern University.

Awards and achievements: 

Mark plays regularly with the Lake Forest Symphony and the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. He has also played with the Illinois Philharmonic, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Ars Viva, as well as many other local orchestras and chamber music ensembles. Mark has performed as soloist with several orchestras and is a very active chamber musician and recitalist, in addition to being the cellist with Celebration Strings.

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Some of Mark's professional affiliations include his relationship with the Lake Forest Symphony, and the Elgin Symphony Orchestra.
