Downers Grove

Welcome to the Downers Grove Campus!

We invite you to participate in private instruction, musicianship classes and/or chamber music taught by our experienced and dedicated faculty.  Lessons and classes are held at the Faith United Methodist Church in downtown Downers Grove at 432 59th Street. Instruction is available for students of all ages and ability levels and is offered for the following instruments:  piano, violin, voice, clarinet, saxophone and double bass.  Chamber music and musicianship classes are also offered to enhance your musical education.  All students registered for private lessons at MIC receive free musicianship clases as an added value to their private lesson experience.

The Music Institute of Chicago experience begins with a personalized placement interview.  At this meeting, we will answer your questions about MIC and provide information about our offerings and school policies. Most importantly, the interview gives us the opportunity to learn about the personality, learning style, interests and goals of each student so that the best student-teacher match may be found.  Please contact Sung Hoon Mo at 847.877.4854 to schedule a placement interview.

"This was a world of music and education with which I was unfamiliar. Since then, I've never looked back."
