Over the years, Mr. Davis was touched by many talented musicians. A few of his most significant teachers/mentors from his years are: Albert Friedman, Jerome Stowell, and Dominic DeCaprio.
Teaching philosophy and areas of expertise:
Mr. Davis' philosophy is his belief that every student should learn to read music well and interpret it as a soloist. Additionally, he has a great love for Big Band swing music.
Professional affiliations & activities:
Other affiliations that Mr. Davis has are: Orchestra member Chicago Lyric Opera from 1959 - 2003; CCP of U of Chicago member from 1960 - 1980; Grant Park Orchestra from 1958 -65; WGN TV Orchestra Chicago Chamber Orchestra-performed many concertos, locally and on national tour. He has also been involved in numerous World Class Ballet companies and Broadway Musicals, as well as numerous faculty solo and Chamber Music performances.
Interests outside of music:
In his free time, Mr. Davis enjoys, wood carving, painting, building model ships, and exploring the playing of the Australian Didgeridoo.

Debussy's Premiere Rhapsodie. Mozart's Clarinet Concerto.
