Sonia is a graduate of Tel-Aviv University where she studied Music Performance.

Significant teachers and mentors: 

Two of her teachers/mentors over the years that had an impact on her life were instructors that she studied with while at University. They include: Shlomo Bohr, and Oedoen Partos.

Awards and achievements: 

Given the fact that Ms. Hadar's career as a professional musician is one that spans over forty years, you can imagine the number of awards and achievements she has experienced throughout her time as a musician. Among these would be her receipt of first place of the Gina Bachauer competition, in addition to holding decade-long positions as co-principal first violinist, and assistant concertmaster of the Cape Town Symphony. Sonia has also had her share of numerous celebrated solo and ensemble performances.

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Ms. Hadar was a former violin instructor at Beau Soleil Music Center in Cape Town, and is a trained Suzuki teacher. Her students have also participated and excelled in the English Royal Exams.
