The Music Institute of Chicago is saddened by the horrific shootings in Atlanta last week. We mourn for the victims and their families and stand in support of Asian Americans everywhere. The Music Institute condemns racism in any form, including the increasingly frightening acts of violence, harassment, and bigotry directed toward the Asian American community.
 
We embrace Asian American families as an important part of the MIC family and have zero tolerance for discrimination, hate speech, or other manifestations of racism. Our collective commitment to music makes us kindred spirits and a continued force for good in the world.
