Nichols Concert Hall

Nichols Concert Hall is accessible to patrons with mobility needs. 

  • Elevator access is available via the Grove Street entrance, providing access to the lobby and first floor of the hall.
  • Accessible seating is available on the first floor.
  • Accessible parking spaces are located near the venue entrance.
  • Patrons requiring accessible seating or additional accommodations are encouraged to contact us in advance.

Nichols Hall Accessibility

Sensory Experience Notice

Some performances or events may include sensory elements such as:

  • Loud or sudden sounds
  • Amplified music
  • Flashing or theatrical lighting
  • Strong stage effects

When applicable, these sensory elements will be noted in event descriptions or program materials.

Visitors who have sensory sensitivities are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can provide additional information and help ensure a comfortable experience.

Accessible Programs and Services

The Music Institute of Chicago strives to make our programs accessible to people of all abilities. Accessible opportunities include:

  • Private lessons and group classes with reasonable accommodations
  • Early childhood and youth programs are designed for varied learning styles
  • Accessible performances and events at Nichols Concert Hall

Please include:

  • The program or event you plan to attend
  • The accommodation you are requesting
  • Timeline

Requests submitted at least 10 business days in advance allow us to best coordinate accommodations.

Requests submitted with shorter notice will be accommodated whenever possible.

Accessibility Symbols In Use

Standard accessibility symbols are used in our printed materials, signage, website, and event listings to help visitors easily identify accessible services and features, including:
