Welcome! The Music Institute of Chicago is proud to partner with St. James Cathedral to offer music lessons and classes to students in downtown Chicago.

Private Music Instruction is available for students of all ages and ability levels. Our experienced and dedicated faculty offers instruction in piano, violin, cello, flute, and guitar.
 
Suzuki instruction and musicianship classes are also offered to enhance your child's musical education.  As an added value to their private lesson experience, all students registered for musicianship classes at MIC receive deeply discounted musicianship classes.

The Music Institute of Chicago experience begins with a personalized placement meeting.  At this meeting, we will address your questions about MIC and share information on our offerings and school policies. Most importantly, this allows us to learn each student's personality, learning style, interests, and goals, enabling us to find the best student-teacher match.
