Orion Ensemble Concert with guest violist, Stephen Boe
John von Rhein of the Chicago Tribune called Orion “one of Chicago’s most vibrant, versatile and distinctive ensembles.”
Orion Ensemble opens its 33rd season with a concert of fantastic chamber music, filled with “Orion Specialties”—classic beloved pieces, new discoveries, forgotten gems and a world premiere!
In addition to performing iconic works by Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Brahms, Beethoven and Arensky, we are sharing wonderful pieces we have never played on our series, as well as a world premiere composition by Chicago’s very own Ephraim Champion, selections from Sebastian Huydts' music and the glorious Schumann Piano Quintet.
New opportunity this season! For Full-Price and Senior Subscribers
Orion is partnering with Chicago a cappella (CAC) to offer our full-price and senior subscribers one free ticket to each of CAC’s three Series concerts. Visit chicagoacappella.org for a season schedule.
