Jeremy Kahn

Jeremy Kahn is a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music.
Perhaps Mr. Kahn's most influential teacher during his years of practicing was an instructor who he encountered during his time at the New England Conservatory of Music. During his time there, he had the privilege of studying with legend Jaki Byard.
Jeremy Kahn is one Chicago’s busiest pianists, playing in jazz venues, orchestra pits and recording and teaching studios. He is a member of the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, led by Jon Faddis, and has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Aretha Franklin, Phil Woods, Charlie Haden, Pepper Adams, Milt Hinton and Joni Mitchell. Along with performing in venues from Singapore to Rotterdam, Jeremy has played extensively in Chicago’s jazz clubs, including a three-year stint as the house bandleader at The Gold Star Sardine Bar. In Chicago he has been a guest on the radio shows of Marian McPartland and Studs Terkel, and was a featured soloist at the Chicago Jazz Festival.
Information about Jeremy’s CDs (“The Jitterbug Waltz” and “Most of a Nickel”) can be found at www.kahnman.com.
Jeremy has played in the orchestra for many Broadway shows, including “The Lion King”, “Spamalot”, “Wicked” and was the pianist/conductor for “Play On!” (Goodman Theater) and “Hot Mikado” (Drury Lane Oakbrook).
