The Northwest Suburban Music Teacher Association (NWSMTA) held their Sonata-Sonatina Festival on November 7, 2021 at Harper College in Palatine.
Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association (NWSMTA) is an organization of independent music teachers from the Northwest Chicago suburbs. The purpose of this association is to further the art of music and music education. Members of NWSMTA have access to programs that support and encourage teaching and provide performance opportunities for students and teachers alike.
NWSMTA is a local affiliate of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
Ten MIC students participated and each earned a Gold medal. They are piano students of Dr. Christina Tio.
