Basic Teaching Philosophy or Special Music Interests/Specialties

My goal is to provide a learning environment that emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and kindness, starting with the core belief that everyone can learn to play the cello. Every student has their own unique musical journey, and it’s my job as a teacher to help discover how each person learns and to provide them with the tools they need to succeed in whatever they wish to pursue.

What do you love about playing your instrument?

I have a bucket list of pieces that I haven’t learned to play yet, and every year, the list grows longer. I love the fact that I’ll never run out of music to discover, and I really enjoy getting in the weeds of a piece that I’ve been wanting to learn for years.
