Tamila Salimdjanova was born in Tashkent and began her studies at the Uspensky Music School with renowned Tamara Popovich at the age of 7. She made her concerto debut at the age of 9 with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan conducted by Kuvanch Usmanov performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto KV 450. In 2007 Salimdjanova entered the Moscow Central Music School and her studies at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory both under the guidance of Professor Irina Plotnikova. In 2019 she graduated from the Royal College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree, Master of Performance and Artists Diploma under the tutelage of Dmitry Alexeev and Vanessa Latarche. Tamila Salimdjanova has received her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance degree at Northwestern University.
Her recent awards include top prizes at the BNDES international piano competition (Brazil, Rio de Janeiro) Birmingham international piano competition (UK), Massarosa international piano competition (Italy), Lagny-sur-Marne international piano competition (France) Animato international piano competition (France) and the Campillos international piano competition (Spain). She is a semifinalist of Arthur Rubinstein (Israel, Leeds (UK) and Montreal (Canada) international piano competitions. She has performed with the Orquestra Experimental de Repertório, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica da Bahia, Philarmonic Orchestra of Morocco, Thames Chamber Orchestra in venues including Sala Sao Paulo and Theatre Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Castro Alves in Salvador, St Martin-in-the-Fields in London, Casino Bern and Casino Basel in Switzerland. She has appeared as a guest artist at the Radio France Festival in Montpellier which was broadcast live on Radio France. Recent appearances include the Festival Pianos-Folies du Touquet and Festival de Inverno Campos do Jordao.

Teaching is a unique and wonderful way to explore the limits of the musical experience. With the right approach and patience, it can hugely gratify and expand the worlds of both student and teacher. I approach each student individually and hope to inspire and grow with them. More than anything, it should be a rewarding and exciting experience.
Ms. Salimdjanova's expertise includes teaching traditional/classical piano for students of all ages and levels. She also has great experience preparing her students for the ABRSM grade piano exams.

I feel that a musician should be very sensitive, openhearted and sincere. I enjoy creating programs based upon specific ideas that enable an audience to understand a composer’s intentions. For me it is very important to feel the connection with my audience and touch peoples' hearts.
Music is my main purpose and joy in life and stage is a place of motivation, creativity and inspiration.
I consider myself very lucky to be a musician and I believe that music can do so much good in the world.
