2015 Rembrandt Young Artists Competition

Congratulations to Quartet Étoile and coach Roland Vamos, co-winner of the  20th Annual Rembrandt  Chamber Players High School Competition. Twenty-five ensembles participated in the competition yesterday—a record number for Rembrandt. Two ensembles were selected as first place 2015 Rembrandt Young Artists and two groups received Honorable Mention. There was no second place winner.

In addition to the prestige of being named a Rembrandt Young Artist, winners receive cash prizes, master class instruction from RCP musicians, and additional performance opportunities. Competition winners will perform at concerts on March 22 in Evanston and March 23 in Chicago.

 

 

Founded in 1995, the RCP Annual High School Chamber Music Competition is widely regarded as one of the premier youth music competitions in the country. Participants are drawn from a variety of public and private schools throughout the Midwest, focusing primarily on the greater Chicago area. Competition winners have gone on to prestigious careers in music with some holding positions in the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and San Diego Symphony Orchestras, as well as the New York Philharmonic.
