Master classes are a valuable educational resource for all musicians. Whether performing or observing, students gain insight into how professional musicians think, listen, and communicate through their instrument.
At MIC, students can perform in master classes, and observation is open to both students and the public.
The Music Institute of Chicago regularly hosts free public master classes, making these educational experiences accessible to both students and the community.
Chamber Music
Regardless of long-term goals, participating in an ensemble helps students develop essential skills in collaboration, listening, and musical communication.
Students can participate in small ensembles such as duos, trios, and quartets, coached by world-class faculty.
Performance Opportunities
Our students have frequent opportunities to perform throughout the year. Every student can perform at hsitoric Nichols Concert Hall, as well as participate in family concert events and community service performances.
