Jessica Hudson joined the Music Institute of Chicago’s Suzuki cello faculty in April 2025. From the Chicago area, Jessica Hudson began her cello studies at the age of 9 at the Music Institute of Chicago with Gilda Barston and Horacio Contreras, continuing her education at DePaul University with Brant Taylor. After completing her Bachelor's degree, she returned to her Suzuki roots and became a registered Suzuki cello teacher under the training of Sally Gross, the Cello Director at the Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Naperville Suzuki School.

Jessica teaches private and group cello lessons at the Music Institute of Chicago and Vernon Hills High School. She also performs in community orchestras and musical productions and records with Chicago artists. Jessica credits her musical journey to the teachers and colleagues who have strongly influenced and supported her perpetual love of sharing the joy of playing the cello.
