Mary Drews received her BM from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and her MM from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She also had Post Graduate studies at College Conservatory of Music-Cincinnati. 

Awards and achievements: 

Before relocating to Chicago after fifteen years of engagement at the Hochschule fuer Musik in Hanover, Germany, Ms. Drews was the official pianist at numberous international violin competitions, such as ART and Hannover (Germany), Rodolfo Lipizer and Paganini (Italy), and Sarasate (Spain). Over the years, she has collaborated with countless singers and instrumentalists, some of which include engagements at the Aspen Music Festival, the Steans Institute at Ravinia, the Minnesota Orchestra Musicfest, and the Schleswig Holstein Festival. She has also performed concerts and tours in Europe, Asia, and North America. Additional recognitions include being the recipient of the 2008 Steinway Teacher Grant, and collaborating with Matthew Coley, marimbist, leading to the release of their CD "Souvenirs" in 2011.

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Mary, a collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and teacher, is a member of the MTNA, ISTMA, and CAMTA.
