Interests outside of music:

I love going to dance class and painting. When I can, I travel to experience different cultures, philosophies, and movements.

Favorite quote:

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (from The Little Prince)

Favorite practice tip:

Chunking your piece into sections is the most focused and efficient way to practice. Always practice little bit by little bit, and you will be surprised how fast, how accurate, and how memorable your work is.

Favorite composer or piece to play:

Maurice Ravel and Sergei Prokofiev

Favorite musical moment:

Playing the 2nd movement of Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major during a competition. It was ethereal.
