Debbie Masloski was a graduate of the Julliard School and received a Master's Degree in performance. In addition, she also received her Doctoral Degree from Northwestern University where she researched the influence of social and religious trends on the piano literature. As a recipient of the Presidential and Goodbrod Scholarships, she also received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.

Significant teachers and mentors: 

Over the years, Ms. Masloski acquired countless dedicated and talented teachers/mentors, some of whom being Nadia Reisenberg, Herbert Stessin, David Dubal, David Diamond, David Kaiserman, Peter Webster, and John Buccheri.

Teaching philosophy and areas of expertise: 

Debbie's areas of expertise include coaching Chamber Music, and maintaining a studio of pre-college pianists.

Awards and achievements: 

Ms. Masloski has won several competitions over the years, both here and abroad while also appearing as a soloist with orchestras including the Chicago Civic Orchestra, New Mexico Symphony, Colorado Springs Orchestra, the UNC Symphony and the Carthage Wind Ensemble. She has performed on WFMT radio as part of the Dame Myra Hess series and has also made appearances at several summer festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, The Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory, the California State University Chamber Music Festival, and the Okemo Young Artists Festival.

Professional affiliations & activities: 

Debbie has held several teaching positions at various institutions, including the University of Illinois Chicago, Chicago State University, Lake Forest College, Okemo Music Festival, the Merit Music School, and Jemez Summer Music Camp in New Mexico. She has also been artist in residence at California State University Chamber Music Festival.

Dr. Masloski is also the founder and director of the Orchestra Program for Skokie school district 73/12 and has been a guest speaker at Northwestern's Center for Talent Development. She is a member of the music Teacher's National Association, North Shore Music Teachers Association, Chamber Music America, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
