Education: 

Lora graduated from Odessa Music College, receiving a masters in violin and pedagogy. She then went on to attend Odessa State Conservatory of music, and was a former faculty member at Depaul University in Chicago.

Mark Zinger, Arthur Zisserman, Boris Brant

Teaching philosophy and areas of expertise: 

Ms. Zhizhin believes that the best way to teach is by creating a plan for each student that combines the technical and artistic aspects of the violin.

Awards and achievements: 

Over the years, Ms. Zhizhin has spent a lot of time teaching, as well as practicing, and has had extensive Suzuki training, specifically, books 1-6. She also developed special textbooks that are used in music schools throughout Ukraine, and is a lecturer on techniques of teaching violin to young children.

Interests outside of music: 

Outside of the music world, Lora has several interested. She actively involved in community service, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves attending the great artistic events held throughout Chicago.

Practicing a whole piece is much less productive than focusing on a small manageable tasks.
